Los Cenzontles has been recognized in pioneering the revival of lost traditions and empowering generations of youth through music and arts.
1992, 1997, 2003 – Three awards from the U.S. Mexico Fund for Culture funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, Bancomer, FONCA.
1996 – Los Cenzontles receives La Promesa Award: Building a Brighter Future for Latino Children.
2002 – Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center receives the Coming Up Taller Award from the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
2003 – California Arts Council Award In Recognition of Exemplary Contributions to the Arts in California.
2003 – El H Ayuntamiento de Tecolotlan, Jalisco – Reconocimiento al Mariachi Tradicional Los Cenzontles por conserver las raices de nuestra musica vernacular.

2018 – Fabiola and Lucina receive the Arhoolie Award in recognition of their “powerful dueto singing,” and mentoring generations of young students in traditional Mexican music and dance.
1996 – Eugene Rodriguez receives the Arts Achievement Award by the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.
2002 – Eugene Rodriguez receives the California Arts Council Director’s Award.
2009 – Eugene Rodriguez receives the Business Leadership Award from the San Francisco Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
2010 – Eugene Rodriguez receives the KQED and Wells Fargo Latino Heritage Month “Local Hero” Award.
