El Colas

Los Cenzontles and Los Cenzontles Juvenil are joined by David Hidalgo, of Los Lobos, in performing El Colas, a traditional son Jarocho from Veracruz, Mexico. Los Cenzontles Academy has trained neighborhood children in Mexican traditions for over 30 years. During the Covid-19 Shelter in Place, the Academy moved to online classes and focused on media to encourage, challenge and celebrate young people and our traditions.
